Why is it important to practice gratitude? The psychological research on the benefits of gratitude is on-going. But wat has been discovered so far is more than encouraging:

Even physically, gratitude can improve your health, you are sleeping better and are less tired
Just to try it. There are so many simple and effective ways you can practice gratitude. The most popular one is journaling – writing down every day things that you are grateful for. You can also write down things you are grateful for every day on a piece of paper, or make a drawing, create a colorful piece of art. Put it on a wall in your house or apartment – it will help you remember the things you appreciate about your life. You can even create your gratitude affirmations and repeat them daily.
What you want to do is to start practices that will change your mindset. That will turn around your thinking and create new neural pathways. Practicing gratitude continuously is like stretching a muscle. With time, you will start noticing more and more things to be thankful for.
